Many papers study cryonics, its feasibility and effectiveness as the only currently available method for preserving life beyond the declaration of clinical death. The estimated resuscitation times of each patient and how this affects the selection of the appropriate temperature for cryopreservation is introduced. The analysis of enzymatic reaction times proves that it is not necessary to cryopreserve at -196°C but at a higher temperatures, This is the main contribution of this work.
The scope of the analysis covers the use of which substances, cryoprotectants, as well as inhibitors, should be used as well as the enzyme reaction times that take place at different temperatures.
Not only the technical details are analyzed, but also the legal perspective. Cryopreserved subjects are considered "patients" and not lifeless bodies. It is explained why this is necessary and why it should be communicated at a social level through state policies, as well as the absolute necessity to apply an immediate legal and juridical modification that allows starting the procedures without delay before the metabolic arrest of the patient, and why the World Health Organization already guarantees this in its constitution.

Mpox disease, caused by Mpox virus, a double-stranded DNA virus, genus Orthopoxvirus of the family Poxviridae has an incubation period of 6 to 13 days but can range from 5 to 21 days. The symptoms are quite diverse and this makes a number of rash-associated illnesses close differential diagnosis. This study aims to review the common symptoms associated with the disease during outbreaks in Imo State between 2017 and 2023 and the implications for surveillance.
Surveillance data from the Surveillance Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (SORMAS) was extracted between January 2017 and December 2023 across the 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Imo State. A line list of 231 suspected cases was downloaded into an excel template and analyzed using SPSS ® version 20 software. Analysis was done using descriptive statistics and associations were tested using Fischer’s exact at 0.05 level of significance.
Of the 231 suspected cases, 57.1% (132) were males, 42.9% (99) were females and the modal age group was between the ages of 0-4 (32.5%). About one-fifth (21.2%, n = 49) were confirmed positive, 27 males (55.1%) and 22 females (44.9%), (p>0.05). Modal age group was 20-24 (22.4%, n=11), 18% (9) were children under 14 years, p>0.05.
Fever was a constant presentation with 68.4% (n=158) and 65.3% (n=32) of suspected and confirmed cases respectively presented with varying degrees of fever. Other modes of presentation among the confirmed cases are conjunctivitis (12.2%, n=6), cough (16.3%, n=8), photosensitivity (14.3%, n=7), fatigue (36.7, n=18 and headache (45%, n=22). Only 5.6% and 4% of suspected and confirmed cases, respectively, had knowledge of contact with an infectious source. Only 12.2% (n=6) presented with one form of lymphadenopathy contrary to literature. This might be associated with the clinical skills of the cadre of health workers who are responsible for surveillance activities at the LGA (district) level in the State. This study has been able to describe the symptomatology of Mpox during outbreaks between 2017 and 2023 Imo State. The findings have significant implications for capacity building of surveillance actors in order to improve early case detection and response.

(Our aquatic ecosystems' health depends on the quality of the water. Although continuous water quality monitoring at high temporal and geographical resolution is still prohibitively expensive, it is a crucial tool for watershed management authorities since it provides real-time data for environmental protection and locating the sources of pollution. A reasonably priced wireless system for monitoring aquatic ecosystems will make it possible to gather data on water quality efficiently and affordably, helping watershed managers to preserve the health of aquatic ecosystems. A low-cost wireless water physiochemistry sensing system is introduced in this research. This system has been proposed to measure water quality (pH, salinity, and turbidity) in stations or at home using the Internet of Things system and by controlling the system using the Arduino Microcontroller and using special sensors for this purpose. The findings show that a trustworthy monitoring system may be developed with the right calibration. Catchment managers will be able to sustain this surveillance for a longer period and continually check the quality of the water at a greater spatial resolution than was previously possible. The system has been tested in more than one location and the results have proven its success of this system.).

Innovative coded excitation techniques have been proposed to increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of ultrasound signals, which are significantly attenuated by scattering and absorption. Among the methods applied, the linear-frequency modulation signal, commonly defined as chirp signal, has been studied to provide images with greater depth, even in high attenuation media, maintaining the spatial resolution found in conventional excitation systems. This article presents a graphical user interface (GUI) based on Matlab to simulate short-duration conventional excitation (CE) pulses and long-duration chirp-coded excitation (CCE) pulses. The GUI allows the selection of apodization window, center frequency, and pulse duration parameters. In addition, it is possible to configure the bandwidth of the chirp signal. Pulse evaluations were performed with a central frequency of 1.6 MHz, using three cycles for CE and a duration of 5, 10, and 20 µs for CCE with a bandwidth of ±200 kHz, ±400 kHz, and ±1 MHz in a phantom simulated with ten targets. The echo signals for the CCE were processed using a matched filter to evaluate the spatial resolution and attenuation. Simulation results demonstrate the flexibility and performance of the proposed GUI for ultrasound excitation studies. The evaluation of CCE with a frequency of 1.6 MHz ± 1 MHz and matched filter improved spatial resolution by 86%. In contrast, a maximum increase in attenuation of the processed signal of 33% was observed.

The aim of the present study was to examine the relationships between the Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test level 2 (YYIR2) and match-running performance across playing position in elite young soccer players. Participants were 142 players from 14 professional soccer academy under-14 teams. Twenty-six 11-a-side matches were analyzed using a Global Positioning System. Total distance, distance covered by sprinting (> 5.3 m?s^-1), distance covered at very high-intensity activity (VHIA, ≥ 4.5 m?s^-1), distance covered above maximal power (MaxP, > 55 W·kg^-1) and metabolic power greater than or equal to 35 W·kg^-1 (MP≥35), and acceleration (> 2 m?s^-2, NA>2) and deceleration (< 2 m?s^-2, ND<2) frequencies were computed. The YYIR2 test was conducted within three weeks of the matches. When all players were included, the YYIR2 distance was positively related to all match-running performance variables (r = 0.31-0.49, all P < 0.01). When the analysis was conducted on individual playing positions, the YYIR2 distance demonstrated: positive relationships with total distance in defenders and central midfielders (r = 0.42-0.63, all P < 0.05); positive relationships with sprinting, VHIA, MaxP and MP≥35 distance and NA>2 in all playing positions (r = 0.41-0.71, all P < 0.05); and positive relationships with ND<2 in central midfielders (r = 0.55, P = 0.005). The present results indicate that the YYIR2 is a valid test for the assessment of match-related physical fitness in elite young soccer players across playing position. However, the relationships between the YYIR2 and match-running performance variables are playing position-dependent except for match-running distance at high-speeds and high-metabolic powers and NA>2.

A 26 year old male patient complained of appearance of itching, painful white plaque like lesion over right sole prescribed all antipsychotic medications (fluoxetine (60mg), lithium (450 mg), aripiprazole(2mg) and propranolol for last 3months); adding clozapine (5mg) in place of aripiprazole. Then he was prescribed all the medications instead of olanzapine (10 mg) in place of clozapine and fluvoxamine (100 mg) in place of fluoxetine. After 3months, he developed existing itching and painful plaque like lesions with urinary hesitancy, tremor and insomnia. Then he was advised to withdraw all the medications for at least 1month and somatic disorders were treated with combined tab pregabalin and methylcobalamine, multivitamin. Psoriatic lesion was treated by topical corticosteroid and oral cyclosporine (100mg once weekly for 1months).
Naranjo causality assessment score was 5 and it was scored as probable in WHO-UMC scale. These type of effects were minimized by dechallenging of the culprit drugs and symptomatic management.

Introduction: The purpose of the present study is to test the hypothesis that an innovative Hallux Valgus [HAV] sock reduces HAV angle and restores a more normal foot function in persons living with Hallux Valgus.
Methodology: A prospective, same-subject, pre-post experimental study was conducted on twelve participants presenting with HAV. Laboratory tests utilizing electromyography in order to investigate foot function during gait with and without wearing the HV sock, lab tests utilizing foot pressure mapping in order to investigate plantar pressure distribution during gait with and without wearing the HV sock and laboratory photographic measurement of hallux valgus angle were taken.
Results: The innovative hallux valgus sock reduced the peak plantar pressure on most anatomical landmarks, including the first toe/hallux, first metatarsal head, second to fourth metatarsal head, however, no significant difference in pressure was noted on the fifth metatarsal head in both right and left foot. Hallux valgus angle reduction was evident in both left and right angle for all subjects. Finally, EMG results show that 50% of the patients showed an increase in the muscle function during walking.
Conclusion: The innovative hallux valgus sock reduced the peak plantar pressure on most anatomical landmarks, it reduced the hallux valgus angle and muscle function during walking was also increased. Apart from being user-friendly and low-cost, this sock is especially designed to be easy to use and unobtrusive to ensure patients daily compliance. The HAV sock is innovative in nature, since no other sock with such properties exist to date. This offers a novel alternative to clinicians and patients in the management of HAV.

Double Machine Learning (DML) is a powerful framework that combines the flexibility of machine learning with the robustness of statistical inference. It is particularly useful in settings where treatment effects are of interest, such as in econometrics and causal inference. In this article, we explore an object-oriented approach to implementing Double Machine Learning using Python, leveraging the simplicity and modularity of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for the optimization of alloy properties, driven by the growing complexity of end products and the need to reduce development costs. In general, Thermo-Calc based on the CALPHAD method, which calculates the thermodynamic state of an alloy, is widely used for efficient alloy development. However, a challenge in alloy exploration using Thermo-Calc is the need for specialized computational skills and the significant computational effort required due to the extensive range of calculation conditions for numerous alloys. Consequently, we have developed a deep learning model that rapidly and accurately predicts the temperature-dependent changes in equilibrium phase fractions for 6000 series aluminum alloys (Al-Mg-Si based alloys), which are widely used in industry, using calculations from Thermo-Calc. We developed the architecture of the deep learning model based on the Transformer, which is commonly used in natural language processing tasks. The model is capable of performing calculations more than 100 times faster than ThermoCalc. Furthermore, by leveraging backpropagation of errors in the trained model, we developed a method to estimate the alloy composition for the phase fraction results calculated based on Thermo-Calc.

Water Dump Flooding is less well known for revitalizing mature fields. However, in the Boca Field, specifically Reservoir 95 Y-102, this is exactly what occurred. A periodic review of this mature field suggested abandoning the only producing well in this reservoir, well X-3, because an adjacent well, X-6, located above the dip was known to produce a 99% water cut.
Although other wells were produced in the reservoir, only a 12% recovery was achieved. Therefore, an integrated study to re-evaluate the parameters and properties of Reservoir 95 Y-102 began in 2005. During the well analysis, it was found that the water production of well X-6 was the result of the communication behind the casing of the well with the underlying aquifer 101 and not because of the advancement of the oil-water contact, as initially suggested. Recompletion of well X-3 was recommended because an injection process known as dump flooding was underway. In addition, aquifer support for production over the previous seven years strongly indicated that dump flooding would produce the desired production increases.
Under sub-optimal conditions, accidental Water Dump Flooding rejuvenated the producing well, increasing production to more than 300 BOPD with an acceptable water cut of 61%. The steps followed for the analysis and understanding of the process that occurred and how we took advantage of this accidental Dump Flooding raised the production from nearly zero to over 100,000 barrels produced in a single year. This lays the foundation for using Dump Flooding as a production and development strategy for other projects in the area.

The method of calculation of phase diagrams (CALPHAD) is a calculation method that searches for a state of providing minimal Gibbs energy as an equilibrium state. To perform a thermodynamic equilibrium calculation for a single material composition and to predict a phase diagram, we can complete the CALPHAD method calculation within a realistic time. However, screening many material compositions associated with predicting the corresponding phase diagrams takes much time. For alloy materials, for example, it would take 161 hours to calculate phase diagrams of all alloy compositions to screen 10,000 sets of explanatory variables, i.e., compositions and manufacturing conditions, since it takes 58 seconds to calculate each set. The present study aims to provide a calculation device, method, and program for quickly predicting the thermodynamic equilibrium state. We developed a deep learning model based on the Transformer architecture to achieve this objective, primarily used for various natural language processing tasks, such as machine translation, text summarization, question answering, and sentiment analysis. The encoder part of our developed model extracts the necessary features for phase diagram prediction from the inputted alloying elements. In contrast, the decoder part predicts a phase diagram for each temperature based on the results from the encoder. We calculated 800,000 species using the CALPHAD method and employed these data to train our developed model. Our trained model can calculate thermodynamic equilibrium states more than 100 times faster than the CALPHAD method and correctly reproduce the phase diagrams of ground truths. Based on the present result, we could invent a calculation device, a calculation method, and a calculation program for predicting the thermodynamic equilibrium state in a short time.

However, it is not known the ideal moment during orthodontic treatment in which the specialist can place the dental implant, leaving it in osseointegration so that it can later be rehabilitated; and it is often placed after the treatment is finished; so it takes time for the patient to see results from the initial treatment that was intended; which is the replacement of the missing tooth.
Objective: Choose the time of implant placement during orthodontic treatment, seeking to shorten times and thus benefit the patient.
Method: A 20-year-old male patient is presented for evaluation for loss of space after an extraction of a lower first molar performed 2 years ago, he reported that it was extracted after a root canal treatment. Come in during your orthodontic treatment.
Result: The dental implant was placed during orthodontic treatment; shortening work times, for the benefit of the patient, since at the end of his orthodontic treatment he left with a rehabilitated implant.
Conclusion: The implant or implants necessary for the patient during orthodontic treatment can be placed and thus advance while they are osseointegrated, to later rehabilitate and finish both treatments at the same time; as long as you have the necessary spaces.

The nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (modRNA) is a synthetic messenger RNA Trojan Horse that has and will continue to cause untoward deaths and disability. This is not just about the spike protein, a known pathogen [1] Furthermore, it does not require a degree in immunology to appreciate that if you have the cells of the human body make foreign proteins - especially a pathogen - one’s immune system will attack those cells. The creation of this gene-altering injection was done with malicious intent. If you know the infectious agent is a virus that replicates and mutates rapidly, but you give a non-sterilizing intervention in the midst of an outbreak, are you not putting evolutionary pressure on the virus to side-step your intervention? Just another example that the injection was not intended to end the planned pandemic (plandemic) [2] but exacerbate the morbidity and mortality.

The global health crisis of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic unfolded in public view, affecting millions of people worldwide. The virus, arising in late 2019, spread quickly, leading to enormous morbidity and mortality. Essentially, India, with its congested population and varied healthcare system, encountered an uneven road in grappling with the illness. Multiple surges occurred in the country, resulting in a multi-faceted catastrophe with lasting public health and economic repercussions (Sardar et al. 2020). Many segments of Indian society healthcare, economy, socially - are impacted by the pandemic to various degrees. Knowing the Indian leg of COVID-19, from inception to the present day, is essential to interpret the overall narrative. This backdrop further examines India’s response mechanisms, public health interventions, and socioeconomic consequences amid the calls for a global answer.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a major health issue in underdeveloped nations, with India having the largest TB burden. The disease is caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis and has been a leading cause of death in India. The search for anti-TB agents has received extensive study, and the immune mechanisms and hereditary risk factors for TB-related lung injury are being explored. The history of TB treatment has seen remarkable advancements since the invention of streptomycin in 1947. In 2015, the World Health Organization recorded 9.6 million new cases of tuberculosis (TB) and 1.5 million fatalities related to the disease. Amongst these cases, 5% were expected to be multidrug-resistant TB. The disease has a long history, with evidence of spinal caries and TB in ancient times. The document provides information on the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. It discusses various diagnostic methods such as microscopy, antigen detection, and tuberculin skin testing. Additionally, it outlines the treatment intentions for tuberculosis and the WHO’s standardized DOTS/cease TB program. The document also details the metabolism, route of elimination, and toxicity of anti-tuberculosis drugs like Ethambutol and Ethionamide. Various methods for the extraction and quantitative analysis of artemisinin, a compound with potential medicinal properties has been discussed. These methods include liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, ultrasonic-assisted maceration, Soxhlet extraction, microwave-assisted extraction, and supercritical fluid extraction. Introduction: Curcumin, is a natural polyphenol product found in turmeric, and it has primary anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties. It modulates several molecules in the cell signal transduction pathway to exert the therapeutic benefits. It is widely used to treat multiple medical illnesses and has shown many health advantages. Bromelain, an enzyme obtained from pineapple is shown to promote tendon healing through anti-oxidant and immunosuppressive effects. This study is conducted to assess the effectiveness of Fortend, a drug consisting of MicroActive Curcumin, Epigallocatechin gallatoe Bromelina with Coenzyme Q10, Manganase and Selenium in treating Lateral Epicondylitis (LE).
Materials and Methods: This was a non-controlled, non-randomized retrospective observational clinical study. Records of all patients that were treated for LE in multiple centres between 1st April 2022 to 30th June 2023 with elbow disorders were assessed for eligibility. The inclusion criteria of the study are patients who have been diagnosed clinically to have LE through history, physical examinations and special tests and have been offered at least one course of Fortend. The exclusion criteria include patients with connective tissue disorders, previous history of surgery to the elbow, incomplete follow-up records and/ or without consent. One course of treatment consists of taking one tablet of Fortend per day for 20 days consecutively and a maximum 2 courses are offered based on clinical response. Patients were followed up at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after initiating Fortend. The outcomes were assessed using Visual Analog Score (VAS) and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) score.
Results: A total of 260 patients that fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected for the study. VAS were 6.9±1.0 at first baseline, 5.6±0.8 at 1month (p=0.03), 3.8±0.6 at 3 months (p<0.001) and 1.7±0.7 at 6 months (p<0.001). DASH scores were 57.8±3.8 at baseline, 41.5±5.8 at 1 month (p<0.001), 26.5±4.6 at 3 months (p<0.001) and 14.6±3.2 at 6 months (p<0.001).
Discussion: Fortend has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties. It is being used widely in the world to treat many medical illnesses and can be used to treat tendinopathy. This study has shown that the use of Fortend in lateral epicondylitis yields promising results with fast recovery and minimal tolerable side effects. In addition, patients also can avoid any form of injections or surgery for lateral epicondylitis which has inconsistent results.
Conclusion: Fortend is a safe and effective adjunct to conservative treatment of lateral epicondylitis to relieve pain and improving function.

Rationale: Quality of life constitutes an indicator of well-being in patients with chronic diseases. Natural and Traditional Medicine has demonstrated effectiveness in increasing the quality of life in patients with chronic non-communicable conditions; However, there is no evidence of its results on the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease.
Objectives: Determine the application of Natural and Traditional Medicine through a comprehensive system of therapies in patients with chronic kidney disease with the aim of raising their quality of life.
Method: A descriptive cross-sectional observational study was carried out in a group of patients admitted to the Nephrology ward of the university hospital. Manuel Ascunce Domenech, to whom the comprehensive therapy called,: AMORE was applied, with the objective of determining their quality of life before and after it was applied. The variables were taken into account: Age, sex, APP, Quality of life and Adverse reactions.
Results: of the total number of patients treated, 18 were male, for 62%, of the total number of patients studied; their average age was 51 years. Quality of life at the beginning of treatment was evaluated as: Regular and at the end of treatment it was raised to Good.
Conclusions: At the end of the treatment, it was determined that the comprehensive therapy of Natural and Traditional Medicine, AMORE, positively influences the Quality of life of the admitted chronic kidney patient.

Increased global alcohol consumption annually causes death or diseases including liver problems in many societies. Alcohol is causally related with more than sixty different diseases. The risk of premature death and disability caused by alcohol consumption is classified as the seventh cause of death [1].
Alcohol use disorders (AUDs) are significant psychological conditions that often cause serious and dangerous problems. A 2018 World Health Organization (WHO) report on alcohol and health found that in 2016, around 3 million people (5.3% of all deaths) died as a result of alcohol consumption. This number of deaths is more than the number of people who died due to high blood pressure and diabetes. The World Health Organization has indicated in this report that about 5.1% of the global burden of diseases and injuries is caused by alcohol consumption. Also in 2016, there were about 2.3 billion people who consumed alcohol, and 283 million of them had AUD. Moreover, alcohol consumption accounts for 1% of the gross income of a middle-income country [2].

Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) is a major cause of hospital-acquired diarrhea, with significant morbidity and mortality. In the past decade, the incidence rates of community-acquired CDI are increasing worldwide. Antibiotic therapy which alters the normal colonic microbiota is the greatest risk factor for the development of these infections. The number of effective antibiotics for the treatment of CDI is limited, so it is necessary to explore alternative approaches in therapy. One of the approaches to solving this medical and public health problem is the use of plants and their products.
The aim of the present work is to explore the antimicrobial activity of herbal products against C. difficile in order to point out which herbal products are the most promising for the treatment and prevention of CDI.
We searched JSTOR, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Springer Link and Web of Science databases for articles identifying herbal products targets or antimicrobial treatments for C. difficile. While searching certain keywords were used to find the publications that would be relevant in this review.
The study indicates that several essential oils, plant extracts, and their pure compounds exhibit a great antimicrobial potential against C. difficile, suggesting their possible use as an alternative to antibiotics or in combination with conventional antibiotics for the treatment of CDI.

The study explores how Virtual Reality (VR) applications address the challenges of conveying tactile feedback in traditional calligraphy practice. It examines the feasibility of VR in simulating calligraphy's tactile aspects, including brush strokes, ink flow, and paper texture, and the importance of tactile feedback in learning calligraphy. The challenges in simulating realistic tactile sensations in VR are discussed, alongside current technologies in haptic feedback, strategies for simulating calligraphy tools, and case studies of VR calligraphy applications. It concludes with future directions for improving tactile feedback in VR calligraphy training.
