Introduction: Depression, anxiety, and stress (DAS) are significant affective states that substantially influence both the psychological and physiological state of an individual. Acquiring a nuanced understanding of the emotional landscape of working professionals within a community is important in enhancing societal progression. Daily, factors like age, gender, occupational roles, and marital status play a paramount role in affecting mental health parameters. Therefore, a thorough grasp of the relationship between demographic and psychological factors is essential.
Methods: This cross-sectional survey was conducted among 203 working individuals of Suryabinayak municipality. The data was collected using the DASS-42 questionnaire. All data were analyzed using SPSS and presented in tables.
Result: The findings revealed diverse levels of DAS within the participants. The mean score was found to be 9.42 for depression, 8.70 for anxiety, and 12.72 for stress among the participants. For depression levels, 123 individuals fall within the normal range, 25 mild, 34 moderate, 12 severe, and 9 extremely severe, underscoring the presence of serious cases that may require intervention. In terms of anxiety, 109 individuals fall within the normal range, 12 experience mild anxiety, 48 moderate, 14 severe, and 20 extremely severe levels, highlighting individuals facing considerable anxiety challenges. For Stress levels, 138 falls in the normal range, 25 experience mild, 26 moderate, 12 severe, and 2 extremely severe, reflecting a range of stress management needs. This study also examines the prevalence of DAS based on gender, occupation, age, and marital status, revealing important differences among these factors in detail.
Conclusion: Although the majority of people fall within the normal range of the DAS scale and don’t experience significant DAS symptoms, a considerable proportion still needs various kinds of mental health support like counseling, stress management, and self-care sessions.

Down-Klinefelter Syndrome is an exceptionally rare chromosomal disorder that arises from the coexistence of two distinct genetic anomalies: Down syndrome (trisomy 21) and Klinefelter syndrome (47, XXY). The patient is a 3-year-old male with a rare and complex chromosomal condition resulting from mosaic Down syndrome and Klinefelter syndrome (48, XXY+21). The child has a history of congenital heart disease (CHD), which necessitated surgical intervention. Post-surgical recovery has been complicated, including significant morbidity such as a left foot amputation caused by a crossed vasoconstriction reflex. The patient underwent several investigations to elucidate the extent of their complex medical issues. A Doppler ultrasound revealed limited arterial flow in the left lower limb post-ECMO, with only partial arterial signals detected. Down-Klinefelter syndrome is a rare chromosomal abnormality that combines features of Down syndrome and Klinefelter syndrome. Documented complications include hypothyroidism, infantile spasms, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and congenital heart disease. To date, more than 70 cases of double aneuploidy have been reported in the literature.

“Sidekick,” an original short fiction work, explores the concept of belonging through its two main characters, Birch and Aggie, who struggle to find social acceptance. Birch’s struggle is with paranoid schizophrenia. While he exhibits symptoms of delusions and experiences auditory complex perceptions, as do many with paranoid schizophrenia, unlike most, he also sees visual hallucinations. The general population might confuse his disability with dissociative identity disorder, or existing in multiple personality states. Instead, Birch seems cut off from reality, and while highly intelligent and educated, has been unable, especially in recent years, to maintain a successful life. The narrator, Aggie, is a retiree whose career was spent as an expatriate working with farming communities for a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Cambodia. She has recently returned to her home in Virginia. Her perceptions and experience are partially based on research and my observations while visiting Cambodia and my conversations with NGO employees there. The greater portion, however, is informed by my observations and experiences over the last twenty-one years as a member of the expatriate community in Doha, Qatar, one of the Gulf states. Usually, expatriates are motivated by imagining a better life abroad in status, salary, and/or in opportunities to make a meaningful contribution. Aggie’s desires fit within the latter category, and as is common with expat life, her dreams met with obstacles, which require adjustment if the expat is to remain abroad. Aggie was unable to find a way to adjust. However, upon her return, she has realized that her home is no longer familiar to her, and while she has never quite fit into the fashionable society of Richmond’s West End, her outsider status has become even more pronounced. Her first-person account relays her chance encounter at a café with the much younger Birch and the tentative attempts these two lonely people make in pursuing a possible platonic friendship.

Background
The main disadvantage of conventional Bassini hernioplasty is that it involves forceful approximation of the groin tissues associated with tension on the suture line, which leads to increased postoperative pain, longer hospital stay delay in resuming regular physical activity, and higher recurrence rate. New techniques of tension free repair have many advantages, including decreased tension, reduced postoperative pain, decreased analgesic consumption, faster return to normal physical activity and lower incidence of recurrence. Tension free techniques are divided into open (Trabucco) and endoscopic (laparoscopic TAPP and TEP). This study was undertaken to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of conventional and laparoscopic hernioplasty.

Patients and methods
During the period 2018-2019, 28 patients, 24 men (85,7 %) and 4 women (14,3 %), underwent endoscopic hernia repair at our department. During the same period, the open tension-free technique was used in 423 patients, 388 men (84,9 %) and 44 women (10,2 %). The mean age of laparoscopic and open tension group was 55 and 52 years, respectively. The techniques were compared in terms of operating time, hospital stay, postoperative pain, analgesic usage, recurrence rate, return to normal physical activity, and complications. Follow up examinations were scheduled at one month, six months, one year and five years after surgery.

Results
The operating time in laparoscopic hernioplasty is significantly longer than in tension-free hernia repair, yet there is no statistically difference between the two techniques as concerns the length of hospital stay. In patients undergoing laparoscopic hernia repair, return to normal physical activity was significantly less, analgesics during the first three postoperative days, and reported significantly lower level of pain assessed by the visual analogy scale. On follow-up examination at five years after surgery one recurrence (3,6 %) was found in both groups. There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of normal physical activity.

Conclusion
Tension-free hernioplasty is the method of choice in the treatment of adult patients with groin hernia. Laparoscopic hernia repair has its advantages and drawbacks. It is considerably more expansive than the tension-free approach, but its use is fully justified in adults with hernia recurrence. 

The primary purpose of E-GAS monitoring is to ensure the functional stability of the electronic controller in relation to vehicle torque. At level 2 of the E-GAS monitoring concept, the calculation of permissible torque typically relies on formula-based models that simplify real vehicle behavior, accompanied by complex calibration to enhance accuracy. However, this approach often fails to adequately account for the diverse driving scenarios encountered by the vehicle. To address this limitation, this study proposes an algorithm for calculating permissible torque using machine learning at level 2 of the E-GAS monitoring concept. The effectiveness of the algorithm is validated through the analysis of real-world vehicle driving data, confirming its practicality and applicability.

The menace of breast cancer poses a formidable challenge to global public health, particularly affecting women across diverse regions. Timely identification and precise prognosis are imperative for efficacious treatment and enhanced patient outcomes. Conventional diagnostic methods, such as mammography and biopsy, though widely employed, can be invasive and occasionally yield imprecise results. Within this context, machine learning (ML) algorithms have emerged as a promising avenue for breast cancer prediction. These algorithms demonstrate proficiency in scrutinizing extensive datasets, discerning intricate patterns, and subsequently formulating predictions based on the analyzed information. The research presented in this paper is dedicated to the formulation of a sophisticated predictive model for breast cancer utilizing ML algorithms. The dataset utilized encompasses comprehensive clinical and imaging data from patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Subsequent to the extraction of pertinent features from the dataset, rigorous preprocessing procedures will precede the training and testing phases of the ML models. The primary objective of this study is to identify the most accurate algorithm for predicting breast cancer. A comprehensive evaluation of various ML algorithms, including logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and neural networks, will be undertaken to assess their efficacy in breast cancer prediction. Logistic regression, a statistical method adept at analyzing datasets with one or more independent variables and a binary outcome variable, will be employed in discerning crucial factors such as age, family history, and prior cancer diagnoses in predicting breast cancer. Decision trees, an alternative ML algorithm for classification tasks, leverage a hierarchical structure to classify data based on a sequence of decisions derived from input features. Random forests, an extension of decision trees, employ multiple trees to enhance model accuracy, each trained on a random subset of the dataset. Neural networks, inspired by the intricate architecture of the human brain, comprise interconnected layers of nodes processing input data to generate predictions. The learning mechanism involves adjusting the weights of inter-node connections based on training data. The evaluation of ML algorithm performance will be based on standard metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. These metrics serve as robust indicators of the model’s effectiveness in accurately predicting breast cancer. The identification of pivotal features contributing to breast cancer prediction within this study is anticipated to yield insights into the potential applications of ML algorithms in this domain, contributing significantly to the development of precise prediction models for breast cancer. In summary, this research endeavor, focusing on the prediction of breast cancer using ML algorithms, holds promise for enhancing both diagnosis and treatment of this debilitating condition. The creation of precise prediction models employing clinical and imaging data can empower healthcare providers to identify individuals at elevated risk promptly and initiate appropriate interventions. The outcomes of this study may play a pivotal role in advancing more effective breast cancer screening programs and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Usually, more suffering at the end of life makes some people prefer nightfall in advance; others, who can maintain a relative balance of their body functions, wish to enjoy more moments with their loved ones, friends, or other pleasant community members. Additionally, they want extended time to contemplate nature’s perfection in changing colour in real space, embrace novelty available on diverse IT devices, and access programs of interest on demand to enhance knowledge or relaxation.

Conjunctivitis is a highly prevalent condition of diverse etiology affecting around 2 percent of the world’s population, with cases ranging from mild to severe. Previous studies have focused on the pathogenic, environmental, and preservative-induced causes of conjunctivitis. However, little research has examined drug-associated risk factors for conjunctivitis, especially outside of eye drops. The goal of this study is to identify and elicit trends among the top 50 medications associated with conjunctivitis in the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) and their respective drug categories.
Investigating the FAERS database, we uncovered several drug categories associated with high incidence of conjunctivitis, such as Monoclonal Antibodies and Disease-modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs). Among the top 50 drugs associated with conjunctivitis, 55.34% of reports were from females with 62.41% of reports originating in the US. The median age of individuals reporting was 52. Monoclonal Antibodies were significantly more widely reported compared to other identified drug categories, comprising 39.41% of total reports. The findings from this study have the potential to educate clinicians about emerging drug-related causes of conjunctivitis.

Introduction: The world has made remarkable progress in child survival in the past few decades. WHO in collaboration with UNICEF and the WORLD BANK, developed a set of evidence based interventions -“Child survival strategies” which when properly implemented would reduce under five mortality.
Objectives: 1. To assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of mothers having children aged less than 5 years about child survival strategies.
2. To determine the association between various sociodemographic variables and the knowledge, attitude and practice of mothers on child survival strategies if any.
Methodology: This is a hospital based Cross-sectional Study done at Urban Health Centre(UHC), Ankuli from November 2017 - October 2019. Mothers of children less than 5 years of age attending the UHC were the study subjects. Pre-designed, semi-structured questionnaire was used and data collected & analysed using SPSS 18.0.
Sample size: The sample size was calculated to be 237 and to this was added the nonresponse rate of 20% making it 285. The final sample was rounded off to 300.
Results: Around 41.3% (124) of the mothers were in the age group of 21 to 25 years and 72.7% (218) were literate. The occupation was associated with the practice of exclusive breastfeeding. (p =0.028). Literacy was associated with exclusive breast feeding, (0.037) knowledge about reconstitution of ORS(0.039) and practice of Family planning methods (P=0.042).
Conclusion: Awareness needs to be created among adolescents about correct age of marriage, pregnancy & appropriate ANC check-ups. Literacy was significantly associated with breast feeding practices, ORT and family planning practices.

Eight heterocyclic compounds with chalcone, isoquinoline, quinoline, coumarin, benzothiazole pyrazolopyridine, and a chondroitin derivative were tested in-silico using PyRX docking with auto dock vina tool; the docking of ligands was carried out on two receptors associated with Alzheimer's disease, Human BACE-1 complex with AYH011 and Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor protein copper binding domain. The standard drugs tested for validation of the methods were donepezil and Resveratrol. The promising candidates selected for further studies were chondroitin 4,6 disulphate(,-7.3,-5,6), 4-chloro chalcone(-7.1,-6.8), 4-chloro-6-fluoro quinoline(-6.2,-5.8), 3-chloro iso coumarin (-6,1,-5.7) based on comparison to Donepezil(-8.3 ,-7.0) and Resveratrol (-6.9,-6.7).The Swiss-ADME parameters were found satisfactory. Lipinsky rule was followed (Swiss- ADME). Heterocyclic compounds have been widely used for the development of drugs for diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's. Further structural modification and clinical and animal studies are yet to be done for drug development. SAR techniques can be employed to develop better lead molecules.

Background: Chronic kidney disease is a growing global health issue, leading to high morbidity and mortality rates. Hemodialysis patients are particularly vulnerable to complications such as iron deficiency, anemia, and lipid profile abnormalities.
Objectives: This study aims to determine the prevalence of iron deficiency, anemia, and dyslipidemias and to explore the relationship between these conditions.
Material and Methods: We conducted an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective, and monocentric study at the Organ and Tissue Transplantation Department of Frantz Fanon Hospital in Blida, Algeria, from March to May 2024. Ferritin, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, and a complete lipid profile were assessed for each patient.
Results: Sixty hemodialysis patients aged 18 and older were included in this study. The results indicate that 30% of patients suffer from iron deficiency, while 81.7% have anemia. Regarding the lipid profile, 65% of participants have dyslipidemia, with hypertriglyceridemia (35.9%) and hyper-LDL-cholesterol (23.1%) being the most common. Spearman correlation analyses show a significant inverse relationship between ferritin levels and total cholesterol concentrations (R = -0.417, p<0.05), triglycerides (R = -0.365, p <0.05), and LDL-cholesterol (R = -0.48, p <0.05). However, no significant correlation was found between ferritin and HDL-cholesterol (R = 0.234, p>0.05).
Conclusions: These results highlight the need for integrated and personalized clinical management for hemodialysis patients. Appropriate nutritional interventions and regular monitoring are crucial to optimizing clinical outcomes and improving the quality of life for these patients.

The aim of the paper is to highlight and summarize the design principles and guidelines of new contemporary additions to historic building, through the adaptive reuse process of historic and heritage buildings. The method used in this research is an in-depth study and review of various literature related to the topic, by analyzing various researches concentrate on adaptive reuse process of historic buildings and the design process of new architectural additions. The results of the research is to summarize and highlight specific design principles of new addition to historic and heritage building, and produce a clear review of the research subject.

In the paper mathematical model of moving particles on a circle which can be used for transport systems is considered. In the capacity of efficiency index is taken an average waiting time of particle at the fixed point of a circle. Such a model can be applied for analyzing transport systems for finding an optimal number of transport units, optimizing an operation of a system. Numerical examples demonstrated theoretical results are given.

This paper rigorously and concisely defines, in the context of our (Elementary) Mathematical Data Model ((E)MDM), the mathematical concepts of self-map, composite mapping, totality, one-to-oneness, non-primeness, ontoness, bijectivity, default value, (null-)reflexivity, irreflexivity, (null-)symmetry, asymmetry, (null-)idempotency, anti-idempotency, (null-)equivalence, acyclicity, (null-)representative system mapping, the properties that relate them, and the corresponding corollaries on the coherence and minimality of sets made of such mapping properties viewed as database constraints. Its main contribution is the pseudocode algorithm used by MatBase, our intelligent database management system prototype based on both (E)MDM, the relational, and the entity-relationship data models, for enforcing self-map, atomic, and composite mapping constraint sets. We prove that this algorithm guarantees the satisfiability, coherence, and minimality of such sets, while being very fast, solid, complete, and minimal. In the sequel, we also presented the relevant MatBase user interface as well as the tables of its metacatalog used by this algorithm.

This systematic literature review draws into multiple theories, such as resource-based view, sociotechnical systems theory, technology acceptance model, dynamic capabilities theory, contingency theory, cybernetic, and human machine interaction Theory, to explore how artificial intelligence, automation, and human expertise can optimize cybersecurity operations through complementary roles and continuous feedback mechanisms. The outcomes of this study introduce two conceptual models that respond to this objective. The symbiotic integration framework, which promotes continuous interaction and ethical oversight between AI systems and human operators, and the symbiotic maturity integration model, which maps the progressive stages of AI-human integration from initial to optimized. This study addresses the literature gaps related to the symbiotic relationship between AI and human expertise in cybersecurity operations, providing a pathway for adaptive, resilient cybersecurity practices that align with organizational values and enhance defensive capabilities in a dynamic threat landscape.

Many people suffer from a state of rot as an inevitable result of continuous viewing of phones or smart tablets, as continuous and crazy viewing of such devices contributes to creating a state of weakness in human perception of everything around him and puts him in a state of temporary coma in feeling material things as well as things with a moral dimension. Such a matter may make a person indifferent to what he is going through and make him live in a state of mental winter and brain fog that he may go through while awake or asleep. Such a matter may be closer to causing a person to suffer from a state of madness, loss of self-confidence and a feeling of alienation.

The proposed program aims to improve poor people's health by breeding staple food crops rich in micronutrients, a process referred to here as “biofortification.” The Biofortification Challenge Program seeks to bring the full potential of agricultural and nutrition science to bear on the Persistent problem of micronutrient malnutrition. Micronutrient malnutrition, primarily the result of diets poor in bioavailable vitamins and minerals, affects more than half of the world’s population, especially women and preschool children. The costs of these deficiencies in terms of lives lost, forgone economic growth, and poor quality of life are staggering. Billions of people in developing countries suffer from an insidious form of hunger known as micronutrient malnutrition. Even mild levels of micronutrient malnutrition may damage cognitive development, lower disease resistance in children, and reduce the likelihood that mothers survive childbirth.

The author, overcoming the crisis state of studying this phenomenon, interprets it on three levels – social, psychological and somatic, asserting that at present the leading one is psychological. Problems that require the construction of a new understanding of trauma are formulated. Three variants of the formation of trauma as an ideal object are considered, depending on the level at which changes in the whole are initiated. The argumentation of the provisions on trauma is based, on the one hand, on the author's doctrine of psychic realities, on the other hand, on the analysis of specific cases (cases of trauma). The role of semiotic schemes in explaining the process of the formation of trauma and its possible healing is discussed.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the gold standard for surgical treatment of cholecystitis with gallstones. In one of the Philippines’ high-volume centers for LC which does about 600 procedures a year, the authors retrospectively reviewed 2,698 records from January 2017 to December 2021 to identify significant factors associated with difficult LC. The authors identified common clinical, biochemical and radiologic factors that affected the difficulty level of such procedure. Patients predicted to have a high risk of difficult LC should be scheduled for longer operating room slots, informed of possibility of longer hospitalization and monitored more closely postoperatively. This information may help the institution improve efficiency. This study showed that around 21.98% of the patients had difficult LC. Almost all (99.2%) were considered difficult as the procedure lasted for more than two hours. Among the 18 laparoscopic surgeries converted to open, 88.89% were because there was failure to identify the critical view of safety. The overall conversion-to-open rate was 0.67 %. There are predictive factors that can be assessed preoperatively to anticipate the difficulty of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy such as being male, per unit increase in body mass index (BMI), having a history of jaundice, having a history of fever, history of laparoscopic abdominal surgery and having right upper quadrant tenderness. Radiologic factors also strongly associated with difficult LC are thickened gallbladder wall, dilated common bile duct, impacted gallbladder stone, pericholecystic fluid, cirrhosis, and per centimeter increase in size of the largest stone.

We all remember the technocrats and the so-called “experts” and other proponents of medical tyranny repeated “follow the science” over and over during COVID and beyond, all the while they were lying to our faces with prevaricating mantras such as, “safe & effective.” One notorious instigator, Anthony Fauci, of the democide actually said he was the “science.” Given he controlled billions of dollars of grants and also controlled those who would get them, he was in full control of the scientific research environment. While he had a job at the NIH, he seemed to be the top biowarfare man of the USA in charge of making sure there were plenty of contagious pathogens that could be used against humanity. Culling humanity was the ultimate agenda. Personalized nutrition based on an athlete’s genetic profile has emerged as an effective strategy for optimizing performance in soccer. This review aims to analyze how nutrigenetic-guided personalized nutrition can enhance soccer performance. Nutrigenetics identifies genetic polymorphisms that influence key physiological processes, including carbohydrate metabolism, muscle recovery, strength generation, aerobic endurance, and thermoregulation. Key genes such as ACTN3, ACE, IL6, BDKRB2, and AMPD1 play critical roles in these processes, directly impacting athletic performance. Personalized nutritional strategies tailored to these genetic insights can optimize glycogen utilization, modulate inflammatory responses, enhance muscle strength and oxygenation, and support adequate hydration. The application of nutrigenetics in soccer not only enhances on-field performance but also reduces injury risk and accelerates recovery, representing a valuable tool for the nutritional management of high-performance athletes.

Driven by the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, dependence on fossil fuels, and to mitigate urban air pollution, governments and automakers have heavily invested in EV technology, leading to significant advancements.

This research examines the architectural and cultural significance of traditional tower houses in Albania, emphasizing their unique characteristics, historical context, and the challenges posed by neglect and abandonment. It underscores the potential of restoring and revitalizing these structures to enhance their structural integrity and foster economic development in rural areas. By employing traditional surveying methods alongside archival documentation, the study aims to digitize some of these culturally significant buildings through the creation of digital models and maps. This approach enables a comprehensive assessment of their current condition and suitability for restoration. A key contribution of this research is its integration of modern technology with traditional preservation practices, offering a framework for restoring these historical structures while safeguarding Albania's architectural heritage. The study highlights the critical role of public awareness campaigns, community engagement, and funding strategies in ensuring the sustainability of preservation efforts. By merging technological innovation with sustainable development strategies, this research provides a holistic roadmap for the protection and economic revitalization of Albania’s tower houses, serving as a model for preserving cultural heritage worldwide.

Surgery has undergone tremendous transformation over the centuries from the time of the pioneer surgical team of the likes of Lord Lister and other eminent surgeons of the time and era. They pioneered the use of aseptic technique-using carbolic acid and surgical scrubbing in operating theatre, minimizing or eliminating microbial invertion and contamination of surgical wounds. The significant improvement in surgical practice has essentially been aided by sophisticated technological development in medicine and surgery over the years.

Long Covid arises in individuals previously infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), irrespective of whether they exhibited symptomatic or asymptomatic infection. This condition typically emerges around four weeks following recovery from the acute phase of the illness, persisting for weeks, months, and sometimes even years thereafter. Clinical diagnosis relies on a history of new, recurring, or ongoing health issues, often presenting with a perplexing array of symptoms and typically normal test results, leading to a delay in the diagnosis and management. The documented common symptoms of long-term COVID-19 are fatigue, insomnia, post-exertional malaise, cognitive dysfunction, and muscle aches [1].

We report the case of a patient with a 2-year history of IgA nephropathy who was prescribed an SGLT-2 inhibitor. Within a month of initiating therapy, the patient developed onychomycosis, which was confirmed by fungal culture. Treatment with antifungal agents resulted in significant improvement. This case underscores the potential for fungal infections to occur in areas beyond the genito-urinary region in patients taking SGLT-2 inhibitors. Although the link between SGLT-2 inhibitors and onychomycosis is not well documented, our findings suggest a need for further investigation into this association and the risk factors involved.

Nested in the majestic pines of Himachal Pradesh, lies the Parvati Valley. The very place whose beauty Shiva is said to have named after Parvati; an eye catching landscape in Himachal Pradesh, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
During the floods of 2022; the mesmerising valley in Kasol, was ravaged by floods; the region experienced high level of inundation, causing damage to property, infrastructure, crops, and ecosystems, including erosion of soil, displacement of wildlife, and contamination of water sources, also leading to significant disruption and loss of life in affected communities.

Cyclic shear tests are a proven method for evaluating the load-bearing capacity and deformation behaviour of masonry walls under dynamic horizontal loads, such as those that occur during earthquakes. These tests reproduce the realistic behaviour of stiffening masonry walls in combination with floor slabs, as in real buildings the walls are subjected to both vertical and horizontal in-plane forces. The interaction with the reinforced concrete slabs leads to restraining effects which create counteracting bending moments and can be simulated using cyclic shear tests.
This paper describes cyclic shear tests on eight storey-high masonry walls made of highly thermally insulating clay units, which were carried out in the Laboratory for Structural Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg (OTH), Germany. The failure mechanisms were documented by digital image correlation. The test results are then compared with the expected calculated resistance values of the current design approaches according to DIN EN 1996-1-1/NA. Based on the calculation and the failure patterns from digital image correlation, it was possible to show that the standard correctly depicts the failure of the shear wall in some cases. For the majority of the wall configurations analysed, however, the results are on the safe side and show additional load-bearing capacity reserves.

In order to achieve the goals of sustainable development [1], especially "Life Below the Water", we have developed an innovative study exploring how to raise public awareness of Ocean Plastic Pollution by using Virtual Reality (VR).And we developed a VR project for the CAVE2 ™Virtual Environment [2]. By utilizing the interactive experience with VR technology, our main goal is to show the public the huge damage of plastic pollution on whales and the ocean ecosystem. The reason why we designed this game was to allow players to experience the serious consequences of plastic pollution in person and to show some positive changes after successfully cleaning up the ocean. Our Virtual Reality experience emphasizes a practical solution by using "Aspergillus tubingensis" [3], a plastic-degrading fungus. After playing the game, players not only realize a deep understanding of the bad influence of plastic pollution in the ocean but also see the effectiveness of our solutions for reducing plastics. So that we can pay more attention to Sustainable Development Goals.

Digital escape games are getting attention for educational purposes, typically by letting students play a certain game to engage with a new topic and gain knowledge. But what about letting students design escape games instead of just playing them? By following a design-oriented learning approach, this paper explores the educational potential of students creating their own escape games as part of their coursework. We introduce the Escape This! Canvas, a visual inquiry tool that supports the process of designing educational escape games from creating a first idea and theme, over specifying a game structure, to reflecting and measuring the actual learning objectives. Our canvas aids in exploring, structuring, and communicating key design elements important for building new digital escape rooms. This paper contributes to understanding the components necessary for crafting educational escape games, offering a practical tool for iterative planning and project communication, and sheds light on the value of the design of escape rooms for educational purposes.

Orthognathic surgery during growth is a contentious yet critical area of craniofacial management, particularly for severe dentofacial deformities that impair function and esthetics. This review examines the considerations, challenges, and benefits of orthognathic surgery in growing patients, with a focus on optimizing outcomes while managing growth-related risks.
Mandibular and maxillary deformities often necessitate surgical intervention to improve facial harmony, occlusion, and psychosocial well-being. However, performing surgery during growth carries risks such as relapse, unpredictable outcomes, and interference with skeletal development. Delaying surgery, on the other hand, may exacerbate functional difficulties and psychological distress, particularly in cases of bullying or social stigma linked to facial appearance.
Advancements in growth modulation techniques, such as condylar repositioning and early surgical interventions, offer new possibilities for managing complex cases. Research indicates that procedures for mandibular retrognathism and vertical maxillary excess, when carefully timed, can balance growth dynamics and long-term stability.
Psychological and social factors also play a significant role in decision-making. Early intervention may improve self-esteem and social confidence, but it must be carefully weighed against the risk of additional procedures due to ongoing growth.
This review underscores the importance of individualized treatment planning, integrating growth assessments, surgical timing, and multidisciplinary care. By addressing functional and psychosocial needs, early orthognathic surgery can significantly enhance quality of life for growing patients when guided by evidence-based practices.

I begin this article with the description of the birth of the two most influential medical journal of the present – the Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). They are now indispensible for expanding our medical knowledge in various fields. Unhesitatingly, I should admit at the outset, this is an overview, NOT comprehensive review, of the milestones of developments in medicine. A number of important fields remain outside my discussion.

Nanotechnology (the mechanics of Quantum Theory) is science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nanometers (1 billionth of a meter) on the metric scale and involves imaging, measuring, modeling, and manipulating matter at this length scale (10 ^-9). Therefore, nanotechnology, nanoscience and nanobiology involve the ability to see and to control individual atoms and molecules “the internal movement of matter with a certain external cause” (Tudor 227) at the nanoscale. The focus of this discussion is on the “miracles” described in the Judeo/Christian Old Testament and the Christian New Testament. This paper postulates that God, Jesus, the heavenly angels, and their human emissaries (Moses, Aaron, Elijah, the disciples/apostles) harnessed and applied similar scientific techniques (albeit far advanced beyond what mankind has done today) to accomplish what are often referred to as “miracles” (secular “magic”). Therefore, what we in the religious communities have long referred to as “miracles” (as are recounted throughout Holy Scripture and non-canonical Scriptures) were actually the result of advanced technologies applied.
In the case of most of the Biblical “miracles,” the creation, restructuring and/or replication of physical matter were conducted at the atomic and molecular levels (10 ^-9). However, one in particular may have been conducted at the giga scale (10 ⁹) when “…the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.” (Joshua 10:13). Nonetheless, this discussion proposes that these extraordinary events, manifestations of Divine intervention, were all accomplished in either of two ways: (1) A force of energy - referred to in Scripture as the Holy Spirit -- was tapped, harnessed, calibrated and channeled directly by way of Divine Word - the voices/ commands of God and Jesus -- to the intended target and (2) A force of energy - the Holy Spirit - was tapped, harnessed, calibrated and channeled indirectly by way of conduits such as rods, by way of Divine and human hands and the human body to the intended target. As the reader will come to realize over the discussion of this Theory, the ways in which these supernatural events came about sometimes overlap. Moreover, not all of the Biblical “miracles” will be discussed here.

Mental health conditions can appear in subtle and severe forms. Few challenges are as significant for patient care as anosognosia, which is the lack of awareness of one’s illness. Individuals with anosognosia genuinely cannot recognize that they have a psychiatric or neurological condition. This is not a matter of stubbornness or denial; rather, it stems from underlying neurobiological changes that affect self-awareness. The repercussions can include refusal of medication, early termination of therapy, relapses, and profound consequences to overall well-being.

Organizational employee health is critical for the success of companies, effectiveness, and efficiency, in addition to maintenance costs. Corporations that commit adequately to wellness care initiatives record remarkable improvements in their financial and organizational bottom lines, reduced medical costs and truancy included. Evidence by Baicker, Cutler, and Song indicates how effective workplace wellness programs bear fruit in reducing healthcare expenditures by $3.27 for every dollar spent towards wellness initiatives and reducing by $2.73 those costs related to absenteeism per dollar invested. Employees with the proper nutritional habits are fully motivated, so they are more productive and active during their working time. As with prior outcomes, these point to integrating wellness activities within organizational management.

Psychoendocrinolgy is a field of study but almost nothing from this field is applied in a practical way that can actually help people. I hope to make a small dent herewith in my discussion of the hormone oxytocin (not to be confused with oxycontin).
I believe oxytocin is perhaps the most powerful neuropsychiatric intervention on the planet. Very few know about it outside its application in Maternal Medicine or how significant an influence it is in all our lives.

Excess moisture accumulation in residential bathrooms significantly impacts indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupant comfort, especially in tropical climates like Dhaka, where high humidity levels from activities such as showering and bathing are common. Inadequate ventilation exacerbates moisture buildup, leading to condensation, microbial growth, and structural damage. This research aims to assess moisture generation and accumulation in residential bathrooms, evaluate ventilation strategies, and propose architectural guidelines to address moisture-related issues. The study was conducted in two bathrooms in Dhaka's Wari area, characterized by hot, humid, and rainy conditions typical of tropical climates. Environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, surface temperature, and moisture accumulation were measured in both the bathroom and adjacent changing room. Ten male participants bathed under various ventilation conditions (High, Low, and Off modes), with standardized bathing styles (showering and tub bathing) and door opening durations. The results revealed that relative humidity in the bathroom reached 100% during bathing, regardless of ventilation settings. Moisture accumulation on surfaces was higher in one bathroom, attributed to floor material differences. Effective ventilation removed a higher proportion of moisture in the bathroom with better airflow, demonstrating the critical role of ventilation and material selection in moisture control. The study highlights the importance of optimizing ventilation systems and architectural design to manage moisture accumulation, improve IAQ, and reduce the risk of mold and mildew growth in tropical residential bathrooms.

To make real-time driving decisions such as adjusting lanes, avoiding obstacles, and collision prevention, autonomous vehicles (AVs) depend on precise trajectory prediction. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)[1] and Bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM)[2], two conventional deep learning models, are frequently employed for trajectory forecasting. Variable temporal dependencies and dynamic spatial relationships are often not easy for these models to capture. The introduction of spatial and temporal attention processes has improved the accuracy, resilience, and adaptability of trajectory prediction [1].

Dementia, a neuro-degenerative disorder affecting various cognitive functions, including speech and language, presents significant challenges in rehabilitation. This research paper introduces a comprehensive tele-neurorehabilitation system designed for speech therapy in dementia patients, leveraging cutting-edge technology. The system incorporates nine distinct activities, employing text comparison models. Users engage in interactive exercises, where their spoken words are transcribed to text, fostering language engagement and cognitive stimulation. This application explores the dynamic correlation between dementia and speech therapy, analyzing advancements, challenges, and therapeutic applications. The outcomes of our study aim to deepen comprehension of this intricate relationship, providing a foundation for more precise and impactful speech therapy interventions, ultimately contributing to improved rehabilitation for those affected by dementia.
