Abstract
Background: Stagnated Oral Biofilm OB) is responsible for most oral pathology. Stagnation induces change n the microbes that allow dental decay and gum disease. Aim: This contribution appraises various OB’s and their derived morbidity, caries and periodontitis. Discussion: Fundamental changes of OB that start caries and gum disease, and methods of OB control are reviewed. Conclusion: Not all biofilms are the same. Because undisturbed OB causes caries and gum disease OB removal is essential for prevention of tooth-decay and oral soft tissue morbidity.
