Abstract

Dishonor is the loss of honor for an individual or a group believed to have done something unacceptable or morally wrong; people disapprove of them and lose respect for them, which creates embarrassment for the recipients.

Moral failing or bad behavior can apply to an individual, a heterogeneous group, or an organization (a homogeneous group). Therefore, dishonest character or conduct damages personal or collective reputations. An individual's dishonor usually harms the honor of the group to which they belong, depending on their position in the group hierarchy. The higher the position in the group, the greater the impact on the group's reputation.

Failure to meet society's expectations leads to a deterioration of the individual, group, or collective image, which negatively affects their lives and prestige in a competitive market.

Usually, an individual's disgrace in the community stems from wrongdoing. Their misconduct may be either intentional or unintentional. Errors can be identified in their professional, social, and personal lives.

Mistakes in job execution are often driven by gaps in training for their specific work, acute or chronic medical issues affecting work efficiency, burnout, a disincentive to work, unhealthy behaviors such as excessive drinking, coffee consumption, and eating, air and noise pollution, and/or alarming environmental conditions such as excessive flooding and earthquakes. The producer's negative feelings stemming from their mistakes are, to varying degrees, transferred to their collaborators, loved ones, friends, and possibly other community members who can resonate with them. Their imbalance influences the system's functionality at the micro and macro levels; when disturbed, it alters work efficiency, personal creativity, and societal advancement. Professionally addressing these issues can prevent mistakes in practice and ultimately improve an individual's professional life.

Errors in social and personal life are noticed when the individual's behavior does not align with social norms.

Heartfelt work is required to address unintentional minor or moderate wrongdoing in daily work.

By contrast, some individuals fabricate false accusations of wrongdoing against their intended recipients to damage their reputations, career advancement, or business stability. They can act individually or in a group, with the same ill intent toward their victims. Their genetics and incentives motivate them to take such actions. Channels for transmitting false accusations vary: chat, email, phone calls, word of mouth, TV, radio, and/or online platforms. The impact of spreading such false information about the intended recipient can range from moderate to devastating, disrupting their equilibrium. This is why such actions must not be tolerated. Offenders must be quickly identified, and their punishment carried out with cool-headed resolve—no tolerance for cruelty.

Offenders against innocent victims may, over time, realize the danger their actions have posed to the offended persons. Initially, the offender is satisfied with their brave actions toward the intended person; finally, they can engage in self-reflection on their past actions and accept an impartial judge who transcends human judgment. The regret over their real wrongdoings toward an innocent person initiates the shadow inner world, which is a key to their imbalance. They can try to compensate for errors by issuing public apologies and offering recompense in the form of material gifts to their victims. Their persistent shadow inner world slowly erodes their balance. If they do not try to clean it, their end can follow sooner, with a darker inner world that can migrate to their surroundings and their loved ones.

False accusations affect the group or community's perception of an individual's value. Initially, a lack of respect for the accused person was evident. Over days, months, and even years, the truth's dominance leads them to change their opinion of the person who was offended. Some of them apologize to the offended person; others, excessively proud, do not apologize and, because they do not try to balance their misappreciation of that innocent person with excuses, thereby darken their inner world. Rarely do they have the courage to collaborate with them in the time ahead, knowing that, in the past, they still damaged the image of an innocent person.

A person's altered standing must be analyzed in terms of the producer's mindset and values, as well as the contribution of external factors to such undesirable results.

Social dysfunction arises when people act unethically toward others, excessively blame them for intentional or unintentional mistakes, and ultimately disrupt their balance and their professional and social lives.

Supportive actions by others in response to inappropriate behavior in such relationships can improve the quality of life for the person affected and help rehabilitate their image in society. Repairing malfunctions as soon as possible prevents the progression of disorders, which incur medical and social costs.
